As one of South Africa’s top independent car rental brands, Woodford Car Trade offers single-owner vehicles that are professionally maintained and responsibly driven.
Woodford Car Trade is the retail vehicle sales arm of one of South Africa’s largest independent car rental companies. The goal of this project was to design a digital experience that communicates trust, transparency, and the premium quality of their fleet—vehicles that have been owned, maintained, and cared for by Woodford from day one.
As the lead UI/UX designer, I was responsible for translating the brand’s values into a user-centered digital interface that is both visually appealing and functionally intuitive.
Key Contributions
- User Research & Strategy: I collaborated with stakeholders to understand customer pain points in the used car buying process, focusing on building trust and simplifying decision-making.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Developed low- and high-fidelity wireframes to define clear user flows for browsing, filtering, and viewing vehicle details.
Visual Design: Crafted a clean, modern UI that reflects the professionalism and reliability of the Woodford brand. Used consistent iconography, typography, and a neutral color palette to convey clarity and confidence.
Content Design Collaboration: Worked alongside the content team to ensure messaging aligned with user expectations—emphasizing the single-owner history, full maintenance records, and transparency of each vehicle.
Responsive Design: Ensured a seamless experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop, recognizing that many users start their search on mobile.
Usability Testing: Conducted feedback sessions and iterated based on user input to optimize navigation, layout, and overall engagement.
